New Customers

New customers to the school must present their [provisional] driving licence on their first lesson.

A beginner’s course is only for those with very little or no driving experience.  This is defined as not being able to get the car moving easily.

An introductory / assessment lesson is provided for those who have driven before for us to assess your needs.

Block Bookings

A block booking is booking a number of lessons in advance.

Payments for block bookings must be made prior to commencing the lessons.

At the time of booking a block, to reserve the instructor and diary space, a £100 deposit is due – this deposit is deducted from the course total.  The balance must be paid in full prior to commencing the block hours.

To be eligible for the discount offered on block bookings the lessons must be taken in two hour lessons or greater.

Once a deposit is made for a block we will ensure a car and instructor will be available to cover the hours you book plus the driving test.

If you choose to cancel the block the deposit is non-returnable.

Pay as You Go Lessons

Pay as you go lessons are lessons which are booked one at a time and paid for on the day of the lesson.

Pay as you go lessons are chargeable as per the website and lesson fees are to be paid at start of each lesson.

Payments

Payments can be made by cash, online banking or cheque.

Once you have commenced lessons payments will be made directly to your instructor.

Pre-paid lessons or courses are not transferable to any other party.

Any refunds we provide are subject to a £25 administration fee.  This will be deducted from the refunded amount.

Cancellations

We will only change or cancel an appointment time for an extreme or urgent reason (e.g. break down, illness, accident) or to accommodate a driving test for another learner. If we do need to change a lesson in these circumstances we will always ensure you are happy with the new time and that you receive all lessons you have paid for.

Any cancellations by a learner must give at least 48 hours’ notice.  Failure to give this notice will result in the full amount for the lesson being due.  This amount must be paid before further lessons can be booked.  We will do our best to accommodate requests to reschedule lessons.

All lesson times are pre booked and must be attended on time and fit to drive.  All instructors, as protected by DVSA, reserve the right to terminate a driving lesson or refuse a driving test if the driver is unfit to drive through drink or drugs, is abusive or is deemed as not safe on the road. No fees will be refunded in this circumstance.

Other Information

The duration of the driving test is charged as a one hour lesson (usually with an hour lesson immediately prior to the test too) this is in effect for the ‘hire’ of the car for the driving test period.

Once you start your lessons all arrangements for lessons and payments (including refunds) must be made directly with your instructor.

Should you have a problem or complaint the first point of contact is your instructor (as once you book the ‘contract’ is between you and the instructor).  If you cannot resolve the issue then contact us and we will be able to offer assistance. Finally, the DVSA would be your final point of contact for any complaint and they will be able to help and advise you.

Instructors ensure that their vehicle is safe and roadworthy and fully insured for all lessons and the driving test itself.
